Week 12

August 29, 2011
tags:

This past weekend marks my first two days off of “Writing Every Day” in about six weeks. It it shameful and disgusting and trying to kick back into it yesterday resulted in a shame spiral.

The shame spiral will likely be reflected in the following.

This week is to be characterized by a properties due date, prep for work next week and what I am referring to as the State of the Union Address. I might post it, I might decide against it and keep it to my sekrit sekrit self.

READING

Comics. Loot collected from Fan Expo was limited to: 20th CENTURY BOYS vol 1 and INFINITE KUNG FU.

I also scored a Chris Ware Acme Novelty edition from a bargain bin for 10 bucks and the most recent issue of Wired UK because it looked pretty and I wanted some disposable media.

WATCHING

Near Dark

Nightmare on Elm Street 3

Justified Season 2: Begun.

Jimmy Two-Shoes, Adventure Time, Sidekick.

Harlan County, USA

… I just realized that Harlan County, USA is also the setting for Justified.

There have been others. I should really start making a list of everything I watch for a year.

WRITING

TRAVEL BOOK is up to 8,000 words. 8,000 ugly, ugly words.

MAGIC pitch doc due Wednesday.

PLAYHOUSE pitch doc due Wednesday.

BOY DETECTIVE pitch doc due Wednesday.

CRIME pitch doc due Wednesday.

EXPATS meeting Thursday.

Following a brief stint of employment, I will roam the city for a day to walk myself through the construction and plausibility a Travel show before considering the possibility of sitting down for 24 hours in front of the TV and gathering some resources.
